COVID 19 UPDATE: ITALY DIVIDED INTO THREE ZONES

The central point of the Decree is the division of Italy into three areas (depending on the kind of risk). Each Region will fall into one of the three. The general rules of the Decree apply to everyone, other areas (the so-called "orange zone" and "red zone") are subject to further limitations: Yellow zone (general rules apply and there are no further restrictions) Orange zone Red zone Premier Giuseppe Conte formalized the different risk bands by region. RED AREA: Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Lombardy and Calabria ORANGE AREA: Puglia and Sicily YELLOW AREA: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Marche, Molise, Autonomous Province of Trento, Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Sardinia, Tuscany, Umbria and Veneto

COVID-19 UPDATE: COUNTERORDER! NO COVID-19 TESTS REQUIRED FOR ARRIVAL IN SARDINIA

The last Sardinia Regional Decree n. 43 of the 14th of September 2020 (explained in our last Nautica Assistance newsletter of the 14/09/2020) has been declared partially not valid by the Italian Government. Therefore please note that NO COVID-19 tests are required to arrive in Sardinia starting from this moment and until any further notice (unless coming from Malta, Greece, Spain and Croatia , countries for which a Covid- 19 swab test is still required and needs to be done within 72 hours prior arrival).

COVID-19: INTERNATIONAL UPDATED FOR YACHTING INDUSTRY

When it will be possible to come to Sardinia? Are boats allowed to come? We are so impatient to say yes as you can imagine! We are very much positive that this will happen pretty much soon, but so far we cannot give a certain date. Our last email on the 16th of May was reporting the most updated position of Italian government as per official decree of the 17th of May: Italian border will be reopened by the 3rd of June, of course if level of contagion will remain low as it is so far.

COVID-19 UPDATE - JUNE THE 3RD: ITALY REOPENING ITS BORDERS!

We are thrilled to announce that Italy is preparing to reopen the borders with the rest of Europe. In the decree that will be launched in the next few hours by the government, the possibility is foreseen from June the 3rd of entering Italy from the countries of the European Union, the Schengen area including Switzerland and Monaco. For those who cross the borders, the mandatory quarantine with isolation of 14 days will no longer be necessary.

Coronavirus has already changed our approach to life, our way to deal with people, spaces, materials. We are all on a learning process, and, we all know, nothing more difficult then changing habits! Considering that in this new lifestyle doubts and uncertainties arise, at NA we have decided to share a few tips with our yachting community for what concerns a safe and secure sanitation on board. This will certainly be one of the basic needs yachts may have and will consequently be one of the main worries of many crews regardless the position on board.
